I will tell you about my latest breakup, which is heartbreaking, but it ends up teaching me how to love myself.
You know, my ex and I were together for two years before we were separated. At the very beginning, I did see this relationship would hardly last long; however, I decided to follow my heart. The point was I was Vietnamese while my ex was South Korean–different language, different culture, never on the same page.
Well, I first knew him through a friend. He was really nice and gentle to me. At that time, I was attracted by his bottomless brown eyes. We dated after two months of being friends. I enjoyed every single moment with him, though it was sweet and sour at the same time… The problem was we wasted too much time explaining things due to misunderstandings. Also, he didn’t know much about life in Vietnam, so I spent most of my free time supporting him. I felt really bad about it. I believed he did, too. I mean, I’m a girl who is supposed to be protected and cared for. But our roles were literally switched. I sacrificed a lot for this relationship.
After careful consideration, I decided to break up with him. Now, I am starting a new chapter of my life. I practice self-love and focus on my own priority.
I’m glad that I was brave enough to make up my mind when to end my hopeless relationship.
Mẫu trả lời câu hỏi IELTS Speaking Part 3
Do you think children sometimes have to make important decisions?
Yes, absolutely. Like adults, children often find themselves in situations that require careful decision-making. For example, children may need to make choices about the friends they want to be close to or decide how to share their favorite things with their siblings.
What important decisions do teenagers need to make after graduation?
Well, after high school, teenagers have to make some pretty important decisions on what they will do next. Some take a gap year to find their passion, while others go to college. I believe that whatever they choose will benefit them on their journey to discover themself.
Who can children turn to for help when making a decision?
I personally think children should consider their parents’ advice in making decisions. While there might be a generation gap between parents and children, moms and dads certainly have more life experiences to offer guidance for their children’s situations.
Do you think the influence of advertising is good?
Well, I’m not sure. When advertising is clean and provides a clear explanation of products, then yes, it can be good. However, many advertisements these days seem to be quite absurd. They intend to grab people’s attention by all means, even using controversial statements.
Do you think advertisements can influence our decisions when shopping?
Absolutely, advertisements have a significant impact on our shopping behaviors, for example, leading to impulse buying behavior. To explain, you might not initially be interested in a product, but when advertising becomes increasingly obvious in your daily life, you may find yourself considering and wanting to buy it, and before you know it, you’ve brought it home.
How do people usually make important decisions?
People normally invest a lot of thought into making significant decisions. They weighed the pros and cons of many options. However, they usually end up choosing the choice that they like the most instead of the rational one.
