IELTS SPEAKING PART 2 – Talk 1. AI in the future

Have you ever thought about how AI, or artificial intelligence, is shaping our future? It’s pretty mind-blowing stuff! Right now, AI is already a big part of our lives. Think about how we use voice assistants like Siri and Google Assistant, or how recommendation algorithms suggest products and content based on our preferences.

On the one hand, Big companies like Google, Amazon, and Facebook are at the forefront of AI development. They’re using it to improve their products and services in ways we might not even realize. For example, Amazon uses AI to analyze customer data and recommend products, while Google’s search engine uses AI to provide more relevant search results.

Looking ahead, the future of AI is full of possibilities. In healthcare, AI could assist doctors in diagnosing diseases more accurately and developing personalized treatment plans for patients.

On the other hand, some people worry about job loss as automation becomes more prevalent, and there are ethical questions about how AI might impact our privacy and security. But overall, the potential benefits of AI are undeniable. It’s up to us to ensure that AI is developed and used responsibly, so that it benefits everyone in society.

IELTS SPEAKING PART 2 – Talk 2. The best friend

Hey, let me tell you about my best friend. His name is Alex, and we’ve been buddies since we were little kids. We met in school and instantly hit it off.

Alex is super cool and always up for an adventure. Whether it’s exploring new places or trying out new activities, he’s always down to have fun. One thing I really like about Alex is his sense of humor. He can always make me laugh, even on my worst days. He’s also really caring and supportive. Whenever I need someone to talk to or a shoulder to lean on, he’s there for me without hesitation.

We have a lot of common interests too. We both love playing video games, watching sports, and just hanging out together. But what I appreciate most about Alex is his loyalty. He’s the kind of friend you can always count on, no matter what.

I have to say that Alex is not just a friend – he’s like a brother to me. I’m lucky to have him in my life, and I know our friendship will last a lifetime.

IELTS SPEAKING PART 2 – Talk 3. Favorite book

It’s Harry Potter! It’s my absolute favorite book series! I first got it as a gift from my friend on my birthday, and I’ve been hooked ever since. What I love most about it is how it transports you to a magical world full of adventure and excitement.

The characters are so well-written, and you really feel like you’re right there with them on their journey. I especially love Harry, Hermione, and Ron – they’re like friends to me! And who can forget about Hogwarts? It’s such an amazing place, with all its hidden passages and secret rooms.

Whenever I read Harry Potter, it feels like I’m escaping into a different reality, away from all the stress and worries of everyday life. It’s like a cozy blanket that wraps you up and makes you forget about everything else. I’ve read the series multiple times, and each time feels like the first time.

I remember feeling so sad when I finished the last book because I didn’t want it to end. But at the same time, I felt grateful for the incredible journey that J.K. Rowling took me on. Harry Potter will always have a special place in my heart, and I’ll never get tired of revisiting the magical world of Hogwarts.

IELTS SPEAKING PART 2 – Talk 4. Favorite soccer player

Leo Messi is my favorite soccer player ever! I love him because he’s so talented and humble at the same time. Watching him play is like watching magic on the field – he can dribble past defenders with ease and score amazing goals.

What I admire most about Messi is his dedication and hard work. Despite all his success, he remains down-to-earth and always gives his best on the field. He’s a great role model for young players like me, showing us that with determination and perseverance, anything is possible.

Whenever I watch Messi play, I feel inspired to work harder and improve my own soccer skills. I try to learn from his technique and creativity, practicing dribbling and shooting like he does. Even though I may never reach his level of skill, he motivates me to keep pushing myself and striving for greatness.

Messi’s passion for the game is contagious, and it’s clear that he genuinely loves what he does. He brings so much joy to soccer fans around the world, and I feel lucky to be able to witness his greatness. Messi will always be my favorite player, and I’ll continue to support him no matter what team he plays for.

IELTS SPEAKING PART 2 – Talk 5. Self-care

Taking care of yourself is super important, right? I try to practice self-care in simple ways every day. First, I make sure to get enough sleep because it helps me feel rested and refreshed. I also like to start my day with a healthy breakfast to fuel my body and mind.

Another thing I do for self-care is to take short breaks throughout the day to relax and recharge. Whether it’s taking a walk outside, doing some deep breathing exercises, or just listening to music, these little moments of relaxation really make a difference.

I also make time for activities that I enjoy, like reading, drawing, or watching my favorite TV show. Doing things that bring me joy helps me feel happier and more fulfilled. And when I’m feeling stressed or overwhelmed, I’m not afraid to ask for help or talk to someone about how I’m feeling.

Self-care isn’t just about pampering yourself, it’s also about taking care of your mental and emotional well-being. So, I try to practice gratitude and mindfulness to stay positive and present in the moment. It’s amazing how much better I feel when I take the time to prioritize my own needs and well-being.

Overall, practicing self-care is all about finding what works for you and making it a priority in your daily life. Whether it’s taking a bubble bath, going for a run, or simply spending time with loved ones, self-care is essential for a happy and healthy life.

IELTS SPEAKING PART 2 – Talk 6. Handling stress

Daily stress is from my work deadlines. When I feel overwhelmed, I take a deep breath and prioritize my tasks. Breaking things down into smaller steps helps me feel less stressed and more in control.

Another source of stress for me is worrying about the future. To ease my anxiety, I try to stay focused on the present moment and remind myself that I can only control what’s happening right now. I also find comfort in talking to friends or family about my worries, as they often offer valuable support.

Physical activity is a great way for me to relieve stress. Whether it’s going for a walk, doing yoga, or even just stretching, exercise helps me clear my mind and release tension from my body. Plus, it boosts my mood and energy levels, which makes dealing with stress a lot easier.

Taking breaks throughout the day is important for me too. Stepping away from my tasks for a few minutes to drink water, listen to music, or chat with a colleague helps me recharge and refocus. And when I really need to unwind, I like to indulge in activities that I enjoy, like reading, watching movies, or spending time outdoors.

I believe that finding healthy ways to manage stress is key to maintaining my well-being. By taking care of myself both mentally and physically, I’m better equipped to handle life’s challenges and bounce back from stressful situations.

IELTS SPEAKING PART 2 – Talk 7. Traveling abroad

I recently took a trip to New York City, and it was amazing! There were so many things to see and do. One of the highlights was visiting Times Square – the bright lights and bustling crowds were incredible.

I also got to see famous landmarks like the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. They were even more impressive in person than I imagined! And Central Park was so beautiful, especially with all the colorful trees in the fall.

Of course, I couldn’t visit New York without trying some delicious food. I had the best slice of pizza and bagels ever! And the street food vendors were a fun way to try different snacks while exploring the city.

I also went shopping in some of the iconic stores on Fifth Avenue. It was a bit overwhelming with all the options, but I managed to find some great souvenirs to take home.

One thing I loved about New York was the energy and diversity of the people. It felt like there were people from all over the world, and it made the city feel so vibrant and alive.

Overall, my trip to New York was unforgettable. It was a whirlwind of excitement and adventure, and I can’t wait to go back and explore more of this amazing city!

IELTS SPEAKING PART 2 – Talk 8. Learning English

Learning English on my own has been a challenging journey but worth trying. I started 2 years ago by watching English movies and TV shows with subtitles, which helped me get used to the sounds of the language.

I also read a lot of English books and magazines, starting with simple ones and gradually moving on to more advanced ones. This helped me improve my vocabulary and grammar skills.

Listening to English music and podcasts has been another great way for me to practice. I try to pay attention to the lyrics or the dialogue and pick up new words and phrases.

One thing that’s really helped me is practicing speaking English with native speakers. I’ve joined online language exchange groups and found language partners to chat with. It’s been a bit nerve-wracking at first, but it’s definitely boosted my confidence.

I also make sure to practice writing in English regularly. Whether it’s keeping a journal, writing emails, or even just posting on social media, it all helps me reinforce what I’ve learned.

In my opinion, self-learning English has been a gradual process, but I’ve seen a lot of improvement over time. It’s all about consistency and finding methods that work for you. And while it can be challenging at times, the sense of accomplishment when you see progress is definitely worth it!

IELTS SPEAKING PART 2 – Talk 9. Career path

So, becoming an excellent web developer has been my goal and I’ve been working hard to prepare for it.

Recently, I have found lots of online tutorials and resources that are useful for my advanced level. I also practiced building many types of websites to apply what I’ve learned. It was challenging at first, but with practice, I started to feel more confident in my skills.

To gain more experience, I took on many challenging projects in my company and volunteered to help friends and family with their websites. This helped me build my portfolio and learn how to work with different clients and tight deadlines.

Networking has been important too. I joined online communities and attended meetups and events for web developers. It’s been a great way to meet other professionals in the field and learn from their experiences.

I also made sure to stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in web development. The industry is always evolving, so it’s important to keep learning and adapting to stay competitive.

Finally, I’m always open to feedback and constructive criticism. I know that there’s always room for improvement, and I’m committed to continuously growing and honing my skills as a web developer.

Overall, preparing for my career as a web developer has been a journey, but I’m excited about the opportunities ahead. With dedication, hard work, and a passion for coding, I know I can achieve my goals.

IELTS SPEAKING PART 2 – Talk 10. Wars around the world

Wars have been happening around the world for a long time, and they have a big impact on our lives. They can cause a lot of suffering and destruction, affecting not just the people directly involved but also innocent civilians. It’s really sad to think about how wars tear families apart and disrupt communities.

There have been many significant events in recent history that remind us of the horrors of war. Like the Syrian Civil War, which has led to millions of people being displaced from their homes, or the conflict in Afghanistan, which has been going on for decades with no end in sight. It’s heartbreaking to see the images of devastation and hear the stories of loss and suffering.

Wars also have many disadvantages. They drain resources from countries that could be used for things like education, healthcare, and infrastructure. They create instability and unrest, making it difficult for people to feel safe and secure. And they can have long-lasting effects on a country’s economy and development.

Personally, I feel deeply saddened by the impact of wars on people’s lives. It’s hard to imagine the fear and uncertainty that comes with living in a war-torn area. I hope that one day, we can find peaceful solutions to conflicts and work towards a world where everyone can live in safety and peace.
